About the Role
Kent County Council is seeking Qualified Children's Social Workers to join their Children's Social Work teams across Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority that is committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and families.
You will hold a Children & Families caseload involving assessment, planning, intervention and review, working with children, parents and partner agencies to safeguard and promote children's welfare.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a Children & Families caseload of varying complexity
- Undertake statutory assessments in line with legislative frameworks
- Prepare reports and attend court where required
- Work collaboratively with families, carers and multi‑agency partners
- Maintain accurate and timely case recording
- Embed evidence‑based and systemic approaches to practice
Requirements
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
- Registered with Social Work England
- Experience working within Children & Families Social Care
- Sound knowledge of Child Protection, CIN and LAC frameworks
- Strong assessment, report‑writing and court skills
- Full UK driving licence (reasonable adjustments considered)
